Howard The Duck - Possibly the Worst Movie Ever...
Today as part of our weekly film club we watch on the worst movies ever, Howard The Duck. The movie is about an adult duck, similar to Donald Duck, that was absorbed by some type of laser that brought him into the planet earth and he's trying to go back to his planet. The movie has been rated as one of the worst films ever, and is the lowest rated movie from Lucasfilms. The audience criticized the poor movement of the duck's mouth and his face was expressionless. The actors and actress did a really horrible performance. The film even won 4 out of 7 Golden Raspberry Award, including worst screenplay, worst new star, worst vfx and worst original song. Definitely the VFX were terrible, and I think it was because they didn't put too much focus on them, because if we go back to movies before 1986, there were some movies with descent VFX .
The movie title is now used as an adjective, saying, "Every direct has his howard the duck film" this referring to a really bad movie.
George Lucas' worst mistake has not stopped him from creating incredible movies, for example "The Star Wars Saga", "Indiana Jones", "American Graffiti". This might be the best example of how somebody might create the worst film ever, but at the same time create one of the best films ever.
On my opinion, the movie had very horrible stuff, like the VFX, and some of the actors, and probably not the best movie I've ever seen, but I think George Lucas produced the movie thinking it might be a great hit but he didn't put too much effort on it, ending it on being one of the worst films ever.
