Using CGI in Tarkin and Princess Leia

Last week I finally watched "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and it's about how a group of rebels steal the Death Star Plans. I was super excited for the movie because it makes a lot of reference with "A New Hope" and the beginnings of the Empire. The whole movie was great, and it was a genius way to make another movie just from the line that appears in the opening of the "A New Hope", that says, "Rebel Spies managed to steal secret plans". A character that made a huge impact was Grand Moff Tarkin. He was the commander of the Death Star, the interesting thing is that the actor that portrayed Tarkin, Peter Cushing, died in 1994, but still he appeared in Rogue One, that just came out right now. This was possible thanks to Computer-generated imagery (CGI). The production had to find a similar actor that has the same or very similar face and body feature. After finding the correct actor, they had to go through a lot of archived footage to get all the bids of Cushing and replicate the exact same face. Another CGI character and for me probably the most amazing one, was Princess leia. Carrie Fisher, portrayed Leia in the movie like 40 years ago and now of course she's older and very different from before. My reaction when she appeared at the end of the movie was priceless, I wasn't expecting her to appear, she was the same as when she did "A New Hope", it was the same process as the one of Tarkin. They found a similar actress and the went to check a lot of footage of Carrie Fisher and the results were amazing. I would give 8/10 to this movie, just for the fact that the beginning of the movie, was kind of boring and some VFX were not as amazing as other but I would guess that they spend most of the VFX Budget to Tarkin and Leia, instead of other VFX. For example, there's a scene where Darth Vader, appears in space, and it looks very CGI to me, it doesn't look as real as I hope to, but I think is okay to spend most of CGI in Tarkin and Leia.

Rogue One was an incredible movie that made a great job connecting all missing dots between Star Wars movie. For many years I heard people saying, why would they built a massive weapon and left a hole where they can shoot and destroyed it? but after watching Rogue One, this question as many others were answered. I will strongly recommend watching it.
