ASTRONOMIC DESIGN

This project was similar to the first one, "Astronomic: Experiment". The difference was our freedom to use different techniques and resources. The first one was all shot on camera and little to no editing afterwards. This time for "Astronomic: Design" we were allowed to use more in our projects than just a camera. We were able to manipulate images in order to make them look like space. Above you'll see different images that showed a sample of my project during my last unit of year one. I used different software such as Photoshop, nuke, after effects. It was all in 2D and some of the techniques were actually 2.5D. That means a mix of 2D images in a 3D environment. This project was a big opening to the 3D world and all the things you are able to do. I am definitely excited to create some 3D material and give some sense of depth. One of the problems I faced was that some of the images looked flat. As all of it was in 2D. I am hoping to fix that by using actually 3D assets and real lighting. Overall was a great project and a perfect way to end the first year of university.
